DESCRIPTION: 19th or 20th century softwood folk art cabinet, probably from coastal New England. Double door cupboard surmounted by a single large drawer with a framed open cupboard with a single shelf notched for spoons. The entire cabinet covered in carved and applied American eagles. The form of the eagle is interesting because it bears a resemblance to the National Recovery Act blue eagle form the 1930s, though this piece is probably older. Originally painted.
