Cai Wenzhi born in Huanggang County, Hubei Province (Xinzhou District, Wuhan City). Graduated from the ninth period of the Whampoa Military Academy and the thirteenth period of the Army University. Lieutenant General of the National Revolutionary Army.

Xie Zhiguang 謝之光 (1900 - 1976) was born in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province. After his graduation from the Shanghai Fine Art School, he worked for the Nanyang Tobacco Company. He later taught at the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy.In his early years, Xie designed yuefenpai, commercial calendar posters, magazine covers and line drawings for newspaper illustrations; later, he focused on Chinese painting.

Over all in EXCELLENT Condition. Natural imperfection on the medium (paper or silk), regardless from any major damages; includes light blooms, discoloration and minor fading. Consider normal due to the ages. Frame with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, consider ages and wear.
