Description
Two framed Japanese woodcut prints in colors, one by Utagawa Toyokuni I (Japanese, 1769-1825) titled "Actors as Doomed Lovers" and depicting a male and female Kabuki actor, the other of two beauties on a silvered ground by another artist, both housed under glass in a gold-tone metal frame, both with calligraphy and signed with chop seal signatures. Each image: 14" H x 9.25" W; whole frame: 20.5" H x 26.5" W. Provenance: Property from a private estate in Boynton Beach, Florida.
