Description
Made by the J. & E. Stevens Company. Cromwell, Connecticut - Circa 1897. This amusing hungry piglet would have resembled a gleaming piece of silver when brand new. He represents one of Stevens' few forays into banks with metallic finishes. Not surprisingly, he was created for sale during America's Gilded Age.
