AN AMERICAN ROCOCO REVIVAL PARCEL GILT PIER MIRROR WITH MARBLE TOPPED STAND, MID 19TH CENTURY, with a reticulated arch form crestrail of "C" scrolled rocaille and acanthus, detailed with blossoming leafy stems trailing down the shoulders of the arched rectangular molded frame above sides with mid section curling acanthine foliate carved pendants above base corners of similar applied decoration and enclosing a later conforming mirror, height: 77 1/4", width: 44 1/2"; together with a similarly detailed parcel gilt stand with serpentine rectangular white marble top above a conforming relief carved apron centering a double "C" scrolls cartouche framed by rocaille and flanked by bands of stylized rinceaux, grottoesque rocaille and lively curling foliage trim, raised on short cabriole legs of classical maiden terms ending in scrolling feet, verso old remnant of printed label "..ERHOFFS GALLERIES / 217 F STREET, N.W. / WASHINGTON D;" height: 17", width: 48", depth: 15 3/8"; total height: 7' 10 1/4".

The mirror is later and the frame has been restored, covered in gilt paint, gesso has expected age shrinkage cracks, one small 1 1/4" piece has been placed in clear plastic bag, and there is normal surface dust buildup throughout.  The 19th century Rococo Revival base stand appears to have original gilding with touch ups throughout, gesso age shrinkage cracks, small losses, nicks, some chips, wear, and surface dust buildup in crevices throughout.
