Scarce C. 1920's Tin Service Station Flange for Independent Gasoline & Motor Oils showing excellent Thunderbird graphic on each side with "Coupons Accepted Here". CONDITION: Side one is in fair condition throughout showing very good color & gloss but does show some moderate surface scratching and wear but the graphic is clean. The outer edge shows some minor staining and light paint loss but displays nicely, Grade 7.5. Side two is in poor condition but shows a fairly clean Thunderbird graphic and is uncleaned in "As Found" condition. Side two shows heavier paint loss mostly in the outer field with a fairly clean outer edge with just moderate wear. Side two should clean up if desired, Grade 6.25. The flange portion is in fair condition as well showing paint loss and wear but overall fair. A rare piece from Independent Oil that shows heavy wear but displays nicely with an excellent patina type look to it. Condition: (7.5 & 6.25). Dimensions: 18" x 2" x 14".
