Arthur Davenport Fuller.Connecticut, New Hampshire,1889-1966
Depicts an elderly woman on the floor of a dark room being propped up by a gentleman offering her water while a second woman leans over her. Fuller studied at Harvard University, the Fenway School of Illustration in Boston, and the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. A well known illustrator, Fuller worked for major magazines, including Greenbook, where he started, Redbook, The Saturday Evening Post, Colliers, The Ladies Home Journal, Cosmopolitan, The American Legion, and McCalls.Fuller was an active member of the Animal Artists Society, the Salmagundi Club, the Westport Artists, and the Society of Illustrators in New York.
