This is a beautiful figurine made by Giuseppe Cappe in Italy.
The figurine is made in 1963 and it is a large one.
This piece depicts two drunk men. Produced in the 1960's, this is a rare figure, not often seen. Actually, I cannot find any other similar one ever sold.
The figurine shows precision craftsmanship and lots of details.
This figurine measures 8 1/2" tall and 9" by 4 1/4" at the base.
It is properly marked. The figure is in very good condition - it has no chips and cracks - please refer to the pictures.

Giuseppe Cappé is widely known as one of the best Capodimonte porcelain sculptors.
Born in Milan 1921-2008, lived in Milan and in Como province where he has the workshop-studio near the Royal Crown Porcelain Manufactory and where he creates his masterpieces that are sent all over the world. Many of his works are now in many private collections and museums.
Cappé is an artist who has taken inspiration from the ranks of the great Italian barocco-alessandra folk tradition of which the stuccos by Serpotta (Palermo), the Capodimonte Works and the Neapolitan precursors are the typical and well-known examples.
