Original dust jacket [some wear and edge creases, one dark stain on the front side -see photos], the price on the front flap is un-clipped, black hard boards stamped in metallic silver, 8.1/2" x 11"; 192 pages, hundred ++ b/w photographs, very good condition.
This book is founded on the reports of News Staff and Photographers of the Associated Press who covered the story of the takeover of the American Embassy in Tehran, Iran in Nov 4, 1979 and ended Jan 20, 1980 after a failed rescue attempt and many negotiations. The book has over hundred photographs and gives information on each of the 52 American hostages. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, later Iranian leader is reputed to be involved in the takeover. He may well appear in some of the photographs in this book.
