Description
Joachim Weingart, Polish, German, 1895 to 1942, a Post Impressionist oil on board painting depicting a reclining nude. Signed by the artist on the upper right. Framed. Note: Joachim Weingart left Galicia in 1912 to take drawing classes in Weimar. In 1914, he studied in Vienna at the School of Fine Arts and visited Berlin. After World War I, he exhibited his work at Lodz. Back to Berlin in 1922, he met Menkes and Alfred Aberdam at the studio of Alexander Archipenko. A year later, Weingart joined Menkes in Paris. The art dealer Rene Gimpel showed interest in his paintings and signed a contract with him in 1930. One of a kind artworks. European Modernist Fine Art For Collectors.
