DESCRIPTION: United States of America Navy Officers sword. The sword features a sharkskin and wire wrapped handle, a gilt scrolling half basket hilt presenting open floral and scroll designs, a scabbard with brass bands as well as a chape etched with cord designs, completed by ornate etched scroll designs at the blade with depictions of flags and weapons, completed with a sword knot and tassel.
Etched at the ricasso "WKC Solingen Germany" alongside a pictorial mark of a knights head and "Stainless Proved" at the opposite side.

CONDITION: Patinated at the brass hardware on the scabbard. Mild scuffing and scratching to the leather at the scabbard. Some wear off of the gilding at the handle.
