DESCRIPTION: Meiji Japanese Sterling silver jewelry box presenting engraved leaf and bird depictions throughout, foliage designs at the hinges on the double doors, a hinged trefoil top handle, a swiveling clasp, and three lacquered wood drawers at the interior lined with blue velvet.
Impressed character marks at the underside.

Total weight of silver overlaid wood box without drawers: 1044 grams.
