Description
A Susan Kliewer (American, b. 1940) bronze bust sculpture titled 'Kinaalda' depicting a Navajo woman with shoulder length hair, jewelry, and a shawl draped over her shoulder and chest. The bust is sculpted so that the shawl seems to hang loosely off the side of the wood base. 'Kinaalda' refers to a coming-of-age celebration conducted by the Navajo tribe celebrating the maturity of young girls into womanhood mounted on wood column swivel base. Incise signed, dated 1995, and edition 28/40 on base.
