Vintage Inlaid Aztec Sun/Dragon Necklace, 20" Black Cord, 1960's-1970's. Unisex. Two-sided round pendant with what looks like an Aztec sun and turquoise chips on one side and an aztec dragon with the same inlaid detail on the other side. This is not sterling but a silver tone metal with magnetic attraction. it is 1.5" round and 1-1/8" long with the ring and bail. The black is likely a resin and the turquoise chips are not real turquoise - just turquoise colored. It is appx. 5mm thick. It is marked with something on the bottom edge that I cannot make out and marked 925 but it is not .925. Very nice cultural looking piece and could be a souvenier. I believe the sun and dragon are coins or cut from coins as the design does match coins from Mexico. The dragon coin is listed as made from alpaca silver which is an alloy - not sterling. The sun that seems to match is listed as sterling plated. The necklace part is newer. It is a 20" leather-like 2mm round cord - it is 18" long with a 2" extender chain and lobster clasp. This is in very good condition. (W12/3/22.1X1 SS9357 J LD 1/21/23).
