Description
Six hand woven mostly Native Alaskan baskets, comprising an Inuit soapstone and reed lidded basket, having a carved soapstone bust surmounting the coiled lid of a cylinder basket, having no apparent signature; a finely done polychrome porcupine quill, birch bark, and sweet grass lidded basket, depicting a standing moose, likely Ojibwa people of Canada, a finely woven grass Yupik lidded basket jar, retaining its original tag giving the weaver's name as Annie Renbel Chenak, a finely woven coiled polychrome tray, and two Papago coiled beargrass pieces including a tray and a lidded basket, the basket retaining a vintage label.

Condition
Soapstone and reed basket with an approx 2" area of brown residue to the interior, 1/2" white residue on coiled tray, Some with patina but no losses or holes noted upon inspection.
