the architectural case surmounted by a shell and volute scrolling crest, over a guilloche cornice and with Doric columns to the corners, the gilt bezel with a ribbon above and a winged mask below, raised on a separate glass plinth over an etched glass stand, the centre decorated with a tavern scene with two drinkers, stamped to the underside 'BACCARAT', the white enamelled dial with Roman numerals, the twin train movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, stamped 'JAPY FRERES MED D'HONNEUR',
