A MASSIVE SILVER AND GEM SET FIGURAL JEWEL CABINET, GERMAN, LATE 19TH CENTURY
circa 1890, in the Renaissance, 16th century style, the large table cabinet modelled as a standing lady with headdress and gem set earrirings, her dress set with various coloured and semi precious stones and hard stone cabochons, including turquoise, amethyst, lapis lazuli, garnets and agate, the front of her bodice hinged and opening up to five compartments, the skirt of her dress with a pair of hinged doors, opening to reveal a fitted interior of nine wooden drawers with silver acanthus leaf mounts, with psuedo earlier marks, the interior of the drawer with label inscribed 'SAMMLUNG OTTO F. ERNST WIESBADEN No. 159', with old German catalogue entry and hand written note regarding the psuedo marks, approximately 6490 grams, 208 oz, 18 dwt,
