Description
A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD (1867-1912) PARQUETRY TABLE TOP CABINET. The panelled double doors lacquered with birds amongst branches of prunus, fitted with two banks of three drawers inset with geometric wooden veneers, above a lower drawer, 44cm x 24cm x 37cm
Condition
One of the double doors with split to interior side, small losses to veneers, some slight staining and faint water marks to top, the back panel has separated and is lifting. One of the metal corner mounts is partially lacking and another is lifting. One of the side panels has some out of position and so there is are separation between it and the lower drawer. The two front doors do not shut fully and may be lacking part of clasp. Minor surface scratching.
