Description
A 19TH CENTURY CHINESE PORCELAIN BLUE AND WHITE GINGER JAR ADAPTED AS A LAMP AND ANOTHER GINGER JAR SIMILAR. Each painted with scrolling leafy lotus flowers and Xi symbols, within Key-pattern border. The lamp on wooden stand 17cm high exc. fittings, the jar 24.5cm high. (2)
Condition
Both are lacking their covers, the jar mounted as a lamp has been drilled through the base to accommodate electrical fittings, both with some typical surface scratching, wear and minor misfiring to glaze, the larger ginger jar with a star crack to body which is only visible to the interior.
