Early Randy Webb Mid-Century Modern studio art pottery vase features bottle form with cobalt glaze striping on body, signed on base "Webb '34", mid-20th centuryProvenance: Deaccessioned from the Randy Webb Collection of the Randy Webb Collection of the Call Museum of Hartsville, New York, 2017Measures - 14.5" H x 1.75" OP, 4.5" W @ W, 4" base*Full collection as photographed; pieces listed separately*BIOGRAPHYRandy was born in 1913 and died in 1997. He obtained his MFA, Master's of Fine Art, at Alfred University in 1937 and was Instructor of Industrial Design 1949-1951, and Instructor in Pottery 1951-1956. Randy was nationally known for his paintings and ceramics, named the nation's CERAMIC ARTIST OF THE YEAR IN 1949 BY NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE.
