Description
A vintage Argentinian hand carved and silver plated gourd and bombillo for Yerba Mate Drink. The gourd is covered with black enamel and silver mounted. The base is adorned with relief ornaments. Mounted on three legs. The legs are made of 1967 10 pesos Republica Argentina coins. Marked with an impressed stamp on the front. The bombillo is adorned with engraved patterns. Yerba mate or yerba mate is a plant species of the holly genus Ilex native to South America. It was named by the French botanist Augustin Saint Hilaire. Completed with a Yerba Mate Amargo box and a wooden case. For collecting purposes only. It is not recommended to drink the contains. Unopened, untested.
