North America, United States, ca. 2000 CE. A interesting and eclectic hand carved wood walking stick inlaid with stone arrowheads and a polished river stone surmounted as a finial. The shaft is initialed "WG" and dated "2000" just under the 4 knapped arrowheads, and a cotton tartan pattern handle is tied to the neck. From the top down are engraved sun and moon motifs and the rest is covered in animals including: a herons, ducks, wolves, eagles, squirrels, rabbits, dogs, deer, and butterflies. A rubber foot was added to the tip, and this unique cane could certainly be used today - it is quite sturdy and truly a unique piece of New Age style folk art! Size: 37.75" L x 1.5" W (95.9 cm x 3.8 cm)
Provenance: ex-private Bishop Family Trust collection, the Trust of the late Bill Bishop, a noted antiquarian with shops in Scottsdale, Arizona and Allenspark, Colorado, USA, acquired before 2010

Condition
Some wear to surfaces from use, abrasions and nicks, but all is intact and good condition. Light wear to rubber toe, and cane could be used as intended.
