Inlaid with griffins flanking an urn, a classical female bust within a roundel, ribbon swagged horticultural trophies, ribbon tied bellflower pendants, a large Neoclassical urn with rams mask terminals issuing husk festoons, flowers and scrolled foliage, the brass baluster galleried superstructure comprised of a central panelled door enclosing one shelf, flanked to each end by a glazed door enclosing a mirrored back and a glass shelf, above one mahogany lined frieze drawer, over a pair of panelled doors enclosing one shelf, on square tapering legs, 92cm wide x 47cm deep x 156cm high, (36in wide x 18 1/2in deep x 61in high)

The present lot is a distinctive and high quality piece of 19th century English furniture which is redolent of much of the 'Adam revival' furniture produced by the London firm of Wright and Mansfield.
