Rare 1860s Boxed Building Toy by Ellis, Britton & Eaton (Springfield, VT), complete with wood and metal parts to build a miniature log cabin (possibly created as a tribute to President Lincoln who was raised in a log cabin); in a painted and stenciled slide lid box, with label printed by French and Wheat, New York, 5" high, 9 1/8" x 6 5/8". Paint losses, surface wear, loss to top of one box end panel.
