Notes & Literature Please Note: Another outstanding example of Hammel's abstract enamel art can be viewed on-line that provides a photograph of the artist?s business card. Although somewhat blurry, it looks as though Hammel lived and worked in Buffalo, New York. There is also an on-line citation for a newspaper article from October 8, 1976 in the Poughkeepsie Journal in which Jane Hammel is listed as having an exhibition of her grisaille enamels at Earthworks in Rhinebeck, New York. Unfortunately, very little biographical information can be found on Hammel at the time of this writing.
