Framed. After-Jeanne Beitz's work, "Lady in White Bonnet." A portrait of a noblewoman in a period dress and an elaborate hat.
Jeanne Beitz (1881 - 1965). She was a pupil of Paul Gervais, Jean-Paul Laurens, Henri Royer and Francois Schommer. She then became Societaire des Artistes Francais, exhibited there regularly between 1910 and 1921, obtaining an honorable mention in 1910, a silver medal in 1954 and, in 1959 a gold medal. In 1960, she was classified out of competition.
H: 47 in. L: 36 1/4 in.
