Dated 1858 on paper recording the birth, marriage & death of Thomas Merrill of Portland, Maine, who married Sophia Smith of Newburyport, Mass. On Sept 13, 1813 with list of names of their ten children with birth and death dates. It is likely that this fracur was begun with the birth of their first child Leonard Wm. Merrill in 1814 and added to be family members until all the children had pasted in 1899. Lists the chidrens spouses and number of their children, written in several hands, 11 1/2 x 14" in late 19th century oak frame, 13 x 17 1/2". Condition folds with minor loss along left side, effecting no art or text, early paper repaired tear at base, VG.
