Description
Belle Epoque Louis XV style ormolu cartel clock, 19th c, possibly Japy Freres, the asymmetrical crest plinth crowned with a trophy of quiver and torch 'en flambeau' surrounded by flowers, atop a rocaille-form cartouche centering a clock face (unsigned) with Roman and Arabic numerals on white enamel dial, with pendant acanthus, bellflower garlands, and roses beneath, the case apparently unmarked, the clock works marked "JP297" on interior, and with further scratch marks. 10.25" H x 5.75" W x 2.25" D.
