Cambodian Khmer sandstone sculpture finely carved into the head of a deity or Buddha wearing a spiraling headdress, circa twelfth century, mounted on a metal stand. 8.5" H x 3.5" W x 3.5" D overall. Provenance: From the Kew Gardens estate of L. L., a holocaust survivor, educator, and wife of K. L., an employee at the United Nations, likely acquired prior to the 1968 death of K. L.
