Description
Robert Levin (NC), Art Glass Tomato Goblet
1987, blown glass in multi-colors with applied handle and worked tomato base, signed and dated at bottom edge.
9 in.
A good early example; the chemicals used in producing Levin's red glass caused him to become ill to the point where he stopped using the color altogether.
Levin is a former resident of Penland School of Craft, and is internationally known for his glass.
