Frame dimensions 4 1/2 x 6 5/8 in.
Jean Jones Jackson was an artist who incorporated fantasy into her folk-inspired paintings. Born in New York, she studied at the Academie Julien in Paris and the Art Students League in New York. In her later years, she was living in Hayesville, North Carolina.
Jackson's work has been a part of significant collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and the private collection of Paul Mellon.
