Description
A late 19th century Anglo – Indian silver milk jug, Madras dated 1893
Raj period. Of rounded circular form with a ‘sparrow beak’ spout opposite a plain loop handle. The body with embossed decoration in the swami style, of various deities within architraves against a textured ground, all above a band of stylised acanthus leaves. Engraved underneath Pudukata Silver Office 1893. Gilt interior.
