Description
This lot is for the Football fan! These pieces were saved from the inaugural season of the Los Angeles Rams' new home in Anaheim Stadium (Angel Stadium today). Lot is two field level souvenir tickets (a whopping $15 dollars!), a small season schedule and a team bandana.
One of the main reasons for the LA Rams to move from the Los Angeles Coliseum was due to television blackouts. The NFL rules were if a team did not sell out in 72 hours, they would be blacked out of local TV (repealed in 2015). Due to the size of the coliseum, with a nearly 100,000 capacity, even on a great season, selling out would have been impossible. Anaheim stadium held just over 69,000 fans, which the team had no problem selling out.
