Featured in this lot we have a bronze Native American sculpture on a burl wood base signed by Marvin Morin and originating c. 1990. Marvin Michael Morin (1936-2003) was a Native American artist and sculptor. His work predominately features a western theme known for his depictions of cowboys, Indian, horses, bears, elks and rodeo scenes. The sculpture depicts a Northern Plains warrior sporting a pompadour hair style similar to the Crow, Blackfoot and Sioux warriors. The piece shows wonderful details across the face and hair. The bust sits on a sculpted burl wood base with finished top, is signed across the base of the neck "M. Morin 8/15". The piece shows good condition overall and is mostly covered with a dark outer coating, burl base has wear consistent with normal handling, a piece of burl is chipped off on the front side, normal aging cracks are visible on the burl. The sculpture measures 12.75"L x 8.75"H x 6.5"W
