Georgian Sterling Silver Salver by Elizabeth Cooke circa 1760's engraved with a armorial crest, 925 sterling silver, cast, mounted, die-stamped, chased, engraved and matted. Elizabeth Cooke - London silversmith, registered March 1764, widow of silversmith Samuel Cooke of Foster Lane Hallmarked with date letter, silver standard, town mark and maker's mark Flat plate on four ball and claw feet. Exceptionally decorative salver with characteristic rococo style elements, mirrored with delicate floral engraving and rocailles, in the center lush coat of arms cartouche, rims slightly curved, adorned with gadrooning and rocailles. Height: 1 1/4" ; Diameter: 8 1/2" Weight: 11.72 ozt. Rare opportunity to acquire a rare exquisite piece of history.
