In testa, grande vignetta ornamentale impressa in xilografia. Tracce d’uso.Rarissima placchetta rivoluzionaria. La legge, in XII articoli, ratifica il Decreto dell’Assemblea Nazionale del 9 settembre: prevede aiuti agli artisti che per le loro scoperte, le loro opere e le loro ricerche nelle arti utili, avranno meritato di poter ottenere le ricompense nazionali. La legge è firmata da Marguerite-Louis- François Duport, all’epoca ministro della Giustizia. Fu una delle vittime del Terrore: accusato di cospirazione fu arrestato nell’agosto 1792: malgrado l'opinione a lui favorevole di Marat, fu condannato a morte e ghigliottinato insieme con Barnave.

The law is signed by Marguerite-Louis-François Duport, Minister of Justice at the time. He was one of the victims of the Terror: accused of conspiracy he was arrested in August 1792: despite Marat's favorable opinion, he was sentenced to death and guillotined together with Barnave.
