MEDIUM: Hand-etched colored glass sculpture
SIZE: Diameter= 13", Width= 8"
DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is a hand-etched glass sculpture by Washington state artist David Schwarz. The sculpture is signed and dated by Schwarz on the bottom of the piece. The brown and clear glass are etched with geometric and architectural abstract designs. A circular opening in the middle of the sculpture allows the front design to interact with the design etched into the back. Works by Schwarz are owned by the Milwaukee Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, and the High Museum in Atlanta.
PROVENANCE: This piece was purchased in 1985 from the Foster White Gallery in Seattle. The sale of this item will include a copy of the original gallery receipt.
