Chinese Song Dynasty Ge Kiln Tripod Incense Burner. Potted in shallow vessel form, slight deep, u shape handle flanked on the round opening lip, raised with short three elephant legs. Ge Kiln is deliberate crackle, or a network of cracks in the glaze, distinctive GE crackled glaze also known as jinsi tiexian which translates to mean gold floss and iron thread which details the look of several lines that appear in the crackled surface in greyish or brown underglazed base color. Ge ware is a type of celadon or greenware in Chinese pottery. The shallow tripod base are unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
