This is a gorgeous Bone china Oval Fruit/Vegetable Serving Bowl from the Bell Heather (H4927) pattern by Royal Doulton, Made in England.
This pattern has been discontinued, it was originally manufactured between 1942-1958
Royal Doulton’s renowned artist, Percy Curnock, designed this lovely pattern that features Heather in pinks, greens and lovely grays on a swirl body and scalloped rim with gold band.
All of the pieces of this pattern were signed with the artist's signature.
The bowl is 10 3/8" by 8 1/8" at the rim and 2 1/8" deep.
It is beautiful and will make a wonderful gift or will be a great addition to any vintage china collection.
The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing - please refer to the pictures or ask questions.
It could have some very minimal utensils marks consistent with normal use and/or very slight gold loss.

The business specialized in making stoneware articles, including decorative bottles and salt glaze sewer pipes. The company took the name Doulton in 1853.
By this time Doulton had become one of the most popular brands of stoneware and ceramics. Doulton products also came to the attention of the Royal family.

Royal Doulton, as evidenced by the name, enjoys the distinction of a "Royal Warrant".
A Royal Warrant is bestowed upon people or companies who have regularly supplied members of the Royal Family with goods or services.
It is regarded as a mark of supreme excellence and quality. It cannot, of course, be bought or sold. King Edward awarded the first of five Royal Warrants to Royal Doulton in 1901.
The Doulton Company then became The Royal Doulton Company. Royal Doulton now holds two Royal Warrants.
