TEXTILES: Schoolgirl samplers, darning samplers, an embroidery with family dates, and an embroidery of decorative borders in metallic threads, American and Continental, early 19th C., seven unframed pieces, details include: schoolgirl sampler signed "Hannah Minickr, Greenburh, Sept. 18th 1811; large darning sampler with numerous initials and dated 1827; two smaller unsigned darning samplers; band sampler in tones of blue and red; an elaborate birth and death family record embroidery of the Moore family, beginning with Abel Moore born Jan. 27th 1766, and died Aug. 28th, 1812, backed with silk which is badly shattered, 16 1/2" h. x 17 1/2" w.; and a band embroidery in brightly colored silk thread on linen, 29" h. x 15' w., all pieces with toning, staining, thread loss, etc., all sold as is.
