ASIAN: Bamboo lunchbox and carved wood sculpture of an immortal, both Chinese, details include: bamboo, leather and metal “lunch” box, probably late Qing Dynasty, hinged bamboo case opens to reveal shaped three part interlocking metal container, expected wear including finish loss, 7 3/4" w.; along with a carved wood figure of an Daoist immortal, 20th C., white inlaid teeth, age cracking to wood, small chip to base,12.5" x 3.5" x 3". [[VERBAL PROVENANCE: Box purchased c. 1948 in Tsingtao, China.]
