Description:Gold Undated Escudo Cob Coin Weighing 6.7g Sea Salvage. This coin was retrieved from a shipwreck and comes to us from the collection of a South Florida attorney who worked closely with the Mel Fisher family. Kane Fisher is son of Mel Fisher and has been involved in marine treasure search and recovery since childhood. He is a finder and authenticator of the most valuable shipwreck in U.S. history, Spanish galleon Nuestra Senora de Atocha of 1622, which has valued recoveries of more than approximately $700 million dollars. Kane has been involved in dozens of wreck site finds and recoveries off Florida and responsible for an estimated over $1 billion in wreck recoveries throughout the Caribbean. His other recoveries include the rich finds of the Santa Margarita, sister ship of the Atocha, which was lost in the same storm of 1622, and the 1715 wrecks. He is in the middle of each photo, circa 1985 and 1987.
