Description
(1859-1939) English scientist, best known for his research into the sociology of sex. A fascinating archive of well over 100pp. of material concerning the publication of his groundbreaking and most influential work ‘Psychology of Sex’, originally published in 1933. ‘Psychology of Sex’ sought to divorce human sexuality from the prevailing notion that they could be viewed as emanating from concepts of health or disease. Instead, Ellis posited that sexual behavior was more a matter of mind, using nascent concepts of psychoanalysis put forth by Jung and Freud. A.L.S., 2pp. 4to., London, Feb. 22, 1927, setting a date and time to entertain a guest. Mailing folds, else fine.
