‘Deutsche Rotes Kreuz’ (‘German Red Cross’) hewer, 10.5 in. blade 15.75 in. overall, featuring a black checkered Bakelite grip on the obverse, and a smooth grip on the reverse, these held by the original fixing screws, now well oxidized. The cross guard remains firmly in place and the Red Cross emblem is in fine condition. The blade is unmarked and displays scattered patches of black oxidation along its length. The scabbard is constructed of black-painted steel with an aluminum drag and throat and shows notable wear to the paint and oxidation to the tips. Good condition.
