Description
German Police Parade Bayonet by Alexander Coppel, 12.75 in. blade, 17.25 in. overall. Nicely detailed pommel with stag horn grip attached by two rivets. Police insignia is firmly attached to the center of the grip. The crossguard also still retains good detail, and is punch-stamped on the reverse: 'S.Ko. I 908'. The blade is in excellent condition with very distinct maker's markings, just a few blemishes, and very light running marks. Sold with the original leather-covered scabbard, the leather scuffed a bit with the metal tip bearing typical surface wear. Uncommon white patent NCO'S leather frog is also present, marked 'A. FISCHER BERLIN 02 1937', the finish crazed and worn in places. Overall very good or better.
