Richly illustrated with 25 in-text figures wood engraved by Georges Aubert, and 26 etchings, in colors and B/W, engraved by Maurice Potin, after the original drawings of Degas; the plates after the printing were canceled. Inscribed by Valery with a dedication in pen to Francoise Revel. Apostille handwritten by Marius Magnin, then 86 years old, about the binding he executed for Revel, with a photographic portrait of Magnin at work. Provenance Francois Revel, head of the Maison Revel, umbrella manufacturers.
