William IV Mahogany Sideboard

mid-19th century, the triangular backpiece with scrolled ends, above a rectangular top, over a central torus-molded drawer, flanked to either side by a like smaller drawer, raised on two pedestals, each fitted with an arched cupboard door, one opening to a shelved interior, the other opening to a deep cellarette drawer, the whole raised on bun feet.

In very good, nicely polished condition with minor abrasions, mars, and wear, most beneath the surface. The piece is sturdy, stable and functional. Drawers slide freely. Doors open and close properly. Locks present. No key. There are veneer losses to the vertical bottom edge of one pedestal. They are about 1-1/4" high and 1/2" and 2" long.
