Three Horse-Measuring Walking Sticks

an English example with crook-handle bamboo walking stick with sterling silver escutcheon hallmarked London, 1910-1911, by Edward Swaine Adeney, drawing to reveal a maple and brass horse measuring stick, the ferrule lacking, l. 35-3/4".

All examples are 68-1/4" to 68-1/2" at maximum extended height. The root example has a shrinkage crack to base, and a crack around measuring stick opening at the top. The straight one has numerous dents on the silver cap.
