Pair of Giltwood Bergeres in the Louis XV Taste

20th century, each with a shaped and padded back surmounted by a shell crest, joined by out-scrolled arms to the cushioned seat, raised on foliate-carved cabriole legs ending in scrolled toes, upholstered in aqua silk taffeta with cut-velvet "ribbon" stripes.

**Both chairs are sturdy and solid with no movement observed in any of the legs, arms or backs. The surfaces exhibit some distress and imperfections by design. Upholstery is in very good condition. The seat cushions are reversible.
