Jimi Hendrix Experience Vintage Koss Headphones & Controller in Original Box From the Estate of Mitch Mitchell W/Letter of Provenance & More - This pair of vintage Koss headphones was used by the legendary group the Jimi Hendrix Experience and was kept by drummer Mitch Mitchell from the passing of Jimi Hendrix in September, 1970 when Mitchell had many Experience items shipped to the UK in touring trunks. The microphone was kept by Mitchell until his passing in 2008, and was later sold by his widow Dee Mitchell beginning in 2012. The headphones are in the original box along with the energizing source controller, cables and manuals. These headphones were sold via a 2017 Beverly Hills auction of Entertainment Memorabilia and comes with a letter of provenance from Richard Lumb of Rock Shop n' Gavel, who purchased the lot. The lot will also include: a copy of the purchase invoice along with a copy of the auction listing. Mitch Mitchell was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2009 and, along with the Jimi Hendrix Experience, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005. All three of the band's studio albums were ranked among the 100 greatest albums of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.
